Meet our Executive Director Joylyn Connell
Joylyn Connell or “ Joy” as she is known to our many families, has a long history of commitment to families and children. Joy has a Masters Degree in Social Work and in the past has helped families of children who were seeking treatment in hospitals, pregnant women who are in social need and has helped many military families care for their children, while loved ones bravely served their country.
Joy joined NC Homestudies, LLC under the agency's new ownership as she believes in adoption and celebrates that families are formed in many different ways. She is a strong advocate for orphan care, enjoys helping first time families as well as families expanding to include more children.
In addition to managing the agency, Joy is primarily responsible for helping families through the homestudy process and the post-placement or post-adoption process. She also assists families with re-adoption, step-parent adoption and adoptions for families that have guardianship of foreign born children.
